Happy New Year!

It's been a while, and of course we're running a bit behind and wanted to let everyone know what we've been up to, even if it's just a few tidbits, a teaser list....

* 40th Anniversary of First Landing! All year, we'll be posting this and that about Neil's July 20th step onto the Moon!
* ALETRO personnel have recently discussed the development of technical collections for inclusion within the NASA Technical Reports repository (through STI). This method of preserving and presenting ALETRO collections seems quite workable.
* Wayne met with Apollo flight personnel at NASA (December 9, 2008) to discuss a host of topics. At some point, we should post meeting notes either here or at Lunar Landing. We'll keep you posted, pun intended.
* COLLECTION CALL: NASA would like any technical reports, technical information, and historical reference from those involved in the design, testing, development, and deployment of the lunar module (LM). Contact ALETRO if you have any documents, information, or perspectives you would like to lend to the current lunar projects.

Ira G. Ross Aerospace Museum

The Niagara Aerospace Museum has changed its name. "Ira G. Ross Aerospace Museum." There are likely going to be some nice gussying up of things in Niagara Falls.

If you find yourself in Niagara Falls or even Buffalo, call the museum at 716.278.0060 to see what's going on! More info can be found at the site http://www.niagaramuseum.org/. If you find yourself talking to Hugh, tell him ALETRO sent you.

BTW, you might notice some a collaborative (Ross Aerospace and ALETRO) effort here or there.
